James Gunn and the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 have collaborated with Baywatch legend David Hasselhoff to make a fun retro music video for original soundtrack song “Guardians Inferno.”
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are likely on the edge of their seats with anticipation by now leading up to the theatrical release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 from returning writer-director James Gunn – who reportedly has hidden another Easter egg in the new movie for his most dedicated viewers to search for. Ahead of the film’s commercial debut early next month, there has been a plethora of information regarding the forthcoming Phase 3 MCU movie — most notably including the fact that Gunn will return to direct the sequel as part of a planned trilogy.
As the theatrical release date of the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 looms ever nearer, it would appear that none other than popular recording artist and actor Miley Cyrus will be lending her voice to a character in the new Marvel Studios feature. Ever since the first film saw release in 2014, the Marvel Cinematic Universe introduced a highly original team of superheroes as adapted for the big screen by writer-director James Gunn.
Chris Pratt shared a new photo giving a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the newest heroes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Pratt battled a number of adversaries as Star-Lord in the first Guardians of the Galaxy, including Ravagers leader Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Thanos’ adopted daughter Nebula (Karen Gillan). Yondu, however, remains something of a father figure to Peter Quill/Star-Lord as the latter seeks his real father in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. He is expected to join up with the heroes in some capacity the sequel, along with Nebula.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is the first of three Marvel Cinematic Universe films slated to reach theaters in 2017; in addition to being the first ‘Phase 3′ Marvel Studios installment that takes place fully on the cosmic side of the MCU. James Gunn’s sequel to his own hit, Guardians of the Galaxy, also features a handful of important new additions to the MCU (including, Pom Klementieff as potential future Guardian Mantis and Kurt Russell as Star-Lord’s father, Ego the Living Planet), as well as a ‘new version’ of an old friend, in Baby Groot.
