Black Panther: Chadwick Boseman Shares Fun Behind-the-Scenes Video

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman posts a hilarious behind-the-scenes video from the set of Marvel’s highly anticipated film. Similar to Tom Holland’s beloved new take on Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Boseman was introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as T’Challa/Black Panther for the first time in last year’s Captain America: Civil War. That’s no easy task either – finding a way to stand out and prove yourself as an iconic character – when you’re in a film that features appearances from a majority of the MCU’s other, already established heroes. Yet, Boseman managed to do just that, solidifying himself as a worthy actor to bring the character of T’Challa to life in live-action form on the big screen for the first time.

Ever since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting any and all news updates they can get regarding Boseman’s upcoming standalone Black Panther film, which is set to be the last title Marvel releases before Avengers: Infinity War next year. Over the past few months, Marvel and everyone involved in filming Black Panther have been hard at work in both Atlanta and a couple notable international filming locations.

As principal photography continues on Black Panther, Boseman took to his personal Twitter account today to give fans a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at some of the hijinks that have ensued during the breaks in between scenes on the production. Turns out, Martin Freeman is pretty good at playing African drums. Check out the video for yourself down below:

Black Panther is truly shaping up to be unlike any other film Marvel Studios has made so far. One of the biggest differences between it and the studio’s previous titles is its awe-inspiring onscreen ensemble. In fact, Freeman and Boseman are only two of the impressive names set to appear in the film, with other talented actors like Sterling K. Brown, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, and more also making their Marvel debuts in it.

The film will hopefully be the first in a long line of onscreen adventures fans can embark on with T’Challa in the future, as Boseman looks to further cement his place as one of the most formidable heroes in the MCU currently. And with cosmically-powered characters like Thanos (Josh Brolin) and Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) on their way to Earth over the next few years, it’s hard to think of a better time for T’Challa and the entire nation of Wakanda to announce themselves to the world once and for all. Fingers crossed we get to hear more of these drum beats when they do.
